It is 29 years ago that members of the Chagrin Valley Herb Society were selling a few herbs from the trunks of their cars in the Bainbridge Library parking lot in hopes of raising enough money to make an herb garden on Library grounds. The garden became reality 26 years ago and our sale has grown to a much anticipated event in our community which for many signals the full swing of the planting season.
Proceeds from the sale enable members to maintain the gardens at the Bainbridge Library. The garden now features nine areas, Entrance, Blue and Silver, Fragrance, Literary, Medicinal, Potpourri, Butterfly, Culinary and a Tea House garden complete with gazebo and benches. The gardens are a real community asset and have been featured on several garden tours.
We thank the community for the interest in the garden and for their support over the years. Come stop and chat as you see us weeding. We love to talk herbs.
